Hi there! I’m Maria Konstantinova — a multidisciplinary artist, experience designer, and workshop facilitator creating hands-on learning experiences at the intersection of art, pedagogy, and sensory communication.
I believe education is at its best when it's fully embodied. Rather than just passing along information, I bring learning to life through multilayered storytelling—combining audio-visual media (illustration, animation, video) with physical and digital fabrication (such as paper modelling, textiles, woodwork, clay, 3D modelling and printing, and basic electronics)."
Whether I’m developing a tactile educational game or facilitating a creative workshop, my goal is to make learning human, playful, and memorable.
How We Can Work Together
Educational Event & Format Development: End-to-end design for interactive learning formats. I can lead projects independently or plug into your team for specific stages, bringing expertise in narrative worldbuilding, game design, physical fabrication, lighting, and live facilitation.
Audio-Visual & Asset Creation: Visual storytelling, character/mascot design, illustration, and multimedia assets (sound and motion) tailored specifically for your educational, social, and research-driven projects.
Workshops & Training: Interactive sessions for educators, institutions, and creatives on storytelling, experience design, and using expressive media for educational purposes.
Background & Approach
My work is deeply rooted in pedagogy, didactics, and expressive arts therapy. During my Master’s studies at Interface Cultures in Linz (which included an Erasmus semester at HEAR in Strasbourg, Didactique Visuelle), I focused on designing tangible user interfaces (TUIs) for emotional processing and mental health. I’ve also studied Visual Storytelling & Communication Design at Chonnam National University in Gwangju.
Across every medium, I use art and design as tools to deepen how we learn, communicate, and connect.
Let’s collaborate! Have an educational format to build, a workshop to host, or a learning project that needs a creative spark? Drop me a line at marjakonst.v@gmail.com .
